Login and multi-factor authentication
Vyne uses multi-factor authentication to protect account access

Multi-factor authentication (also known as MFA or 2FA) is an authentication (login) method which requires users to provide two or more verification factors in order to access a website or application, such as a password and one-time password (numerical code).
Multi-factor authentication greatly increases the security of your Merchant account, making malicious access much harder. As such, multi-factor authentication is required for each user of your Merchant account.
Setting up multi-factor authentication

When you first login to the Merchant portal, you will be asked to set up multi-factor authentication using an authenticator app. Vyne supports a number of authenticator apps available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store such as
- Google Authenticator
- LastPass Authenticator
- Microsoft Authenticator
- Authy
Install your chosen authenticator app on your mobile device and follow the app's on-screen instructions to complete the setup process.
Once you have multi-factor authentication set up on your Merchant portal account, every time you login to the merchant portal account you will be asked to enter a one-time password that is generated by your authenticator app.
Troubleshooting
If you lose or change the device you used to install and set up your authenticator app, you may need to reset multi-factor authentication on your Merchant portal user account. Users with administrator account types are able to reset multi-factor authentication for any users in their merchant account in the Account page in the merchant portal.
